Selling parts that fit specific vehicles
Parts compatibility allows sellers to show all the vehicles that are compatible with a part or accessory in a single listing, helping to save time and money and giving buyers an easy way to find the right parts for their vehicles.
When you assign compatible cars to your listing, buyers will find the parts they’re looking for more quickly, knowing that they’re buying a part that fits their model. This should help result in fewer queries and returns. You can choose compatible cars from a Master Vehicle List (MVL) of more than 39,000 models.

As of 15 November 2012, you will be able to add parts compatibility information to new and existing listings. You should create a single listing for your part or accessory, adding all the models your part or accessory is compatible with, and end any duplicate listings.
If you don’t have duplicate listings, then all you will need to do is revise your item in the Sell Your Item (SYI) flow or via the API.
If you do have duplicate listings:
Note: If you want to change the title or category of your listing, you should end the listing and relist it. Doing this means you will keep your sales rank history.
If you currently have two listings titled ‘Brake Pads for BMW 316’ and ‘Brake Pads for BMW 318’ but the item listed is identical, you should relist the most successful listing as ‘Brake Pads’, adding the compatible car models - BMW 316 and BMW 318 - from the MVL to your listing.
